NINETY PRODUCTION Co., established as a corporation in 2023, is driving technological advancements in the sewing industry to create job opportunities in developing countries and support the economic independence of single mothers. The company has localized its proprietary Pundimaka fabric waste reduction device and developed a tailored "Mass Production Training Program" for Tanzania, which it has successfully implemented through on-site education.
Since April last year, NINETY PRODUCTION has visited Tanzania to establish Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various local companies and NGOs. Through these partnerships, the company has been providing its specialized training to single mothers raising children alone. Recognizing key issues in the apparel market—such as environmental degradation caused by fast fashion, high fabric waste rates, and disposable-quality clothing—the company has leveraged its expertise in high-quality garment production. Its Pundimaka system enables precise measurement of fabric requirements before ordering, significantly reducing unnecessary fabric waste.
Moreover, CEO Lee Somi has introduced structured training to address Tanzania’s lack of mass production knowledge, aligning local sewing education with global standards. By enhancing the competitiveness of Tanzania’s sewing industry in the global market, the company is contributing to the overall growth of the garment manufacturing sector.
Through its CTS Project, NINETY PRODUCTION has achieved three key milestones:
Development and local distribution of the Pundimaka, a non-electric fabric measurement device.
Implementation of a Mass Production System Training Program, structured into theoretical and practical components, which teaches participants how to follow global production standards, understand garment patterns, and execute uniform production processes.
Establishment of a factory-style training facility, where hands-on training is conducted to simulate real factory production. This initiative helps single mothers not only enhance their employment prospects but also participate in direct global manufacturing.
CEO Lee Somi emphasized that this project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:
SDG 5.5: Gender equality and increased women’s participation.
SDG 8.5: Equal pay for equal work through fair labor practices.
SDG 12.5: Significant waste reduction through the adoption of Pundimaka and mass production training.
SDG 4.4: Enhanced technical education for garment production.
She added that the CTS Project is set to be completed in 2024. Over the past six years, she has built strong, trusted partnerships in Africa and is currently establishing infrastructure for further business expansion. In July 2024, NINETY PRODUCTION plans to establish a venture company to further accelerate its mission.
Additionally, the company is committed to investing in the fashion and beauty industries in East Africa, starting with Tanzania. It aims to support the economic independence of single mothers by providing educational opportunities and building necessary infrastructure. Leveraging its branding and manufacturing capabilities, NINETY PRODUCTION is exporting two key brands:
Colorful Majesty: A clothing brand reflecting the diverse cultural narratives of different ethnicities.
Esomi Cosmetic: A beauty brand designed for a variety of skin types across different racial backgrounds.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its production to overseas manufacturing bases, reinforcing its vision for sustainable and inclusive global business development.
